A damask gift box (posted by Elaine)

The large panel on the Dusy Damask plate lends itself perfectly to being a side panel on an exploding box style project and this is what I did.
I embossed the four panels in teal metallic EP. Cut them out and coloured them all with Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers and Chipped Sapphire distress inks. I embossed the lace edging from the lace fragments set and four damask squares for the lid. These were also coloured ith DIs. I mounted all the panels onto black card to make the box and lid. The finishing touch was some of my most favourite May Arts ribbon from Chocolate Baroque.

  6. I love that stamped lace edging plus your use of black - quite spectacular. The ribbon finishes it beautifully. I particularly like the mauvish sheen created by using Chipped Sapphire.
